Sorry that I am the one to tell you this but Visnja is no longer working in radio, she got out of the field all together. She is now looking into working in only TV. It just wasnt working out for her. A

Thanks for the info. Where did you hear it from? I'm glad to hear it was her own choice and that she didn't get booted out. I'm surprised it wasn't "working" for her... I always enjoyed listening to her and miss her in the evenings.

Actually a friend of mine goes to the same church as her in Etobicoke, so I told her to ask her why she disappeared, this is what she told me. Take care, A

Well I know for a fact that she was "booted" from CFNY. Whether or not that caused her to decide to leave radio entirely, I don't know.

Okay, this is what I know. A friend of mine who happens to go to the same church as Visnja asked her why she left the station a few weeks ago (yep I told her to ask!). Visnja just said that radio wasnt working out for her and had a desire to start working in television. Something pretty bad must have happened because Visnja left out the part about getting booted. Another thing too is that my friend told me that when she asked her that question, Visnja seemed a kinda flustered and upset when she answered. So obviously there is a lot more to this than what we already know. A

That's too bad. Broadcasting is a brutal business though... I've heard stories about DJs showing up to work and the locks on the front door having been changed to keep them out. It's a seriously ruthless business.

I must admit I miss Visnja. I noticed in the past year that she wasn't sounding as excited on-air any more, but I did really like her on the evening (7-midnight) shift.

Oh its very volatile and in some ways it can be worse than modelling. When I think about those kinds of jobs, the more greatful I am for having the job that I have lol, which is ending anyway since I have a baby due in 8 weeks (probably going to have it in 4 lol *cant wait for this pregnancy to be over blech*) Anyway, yeah something nasty must have been going on. I could ask my friend to ask her more about it if she sees her in church this Sunday but on the other hand, if things were really so bad that if the subject was brought up, she got upset then there is no point :o( Dont want to make things worse for her than they already are! Man I feel so bad for her. I know how you feel because when Dani left in 92, I felt the same way :o( A

Here is a update ...
I was surfing around the TV dial and came across the The Weather Network Channel and low and behold
there was Visnja on the Tube this afternoon. I don't know if she just filling in over the holidays, or we'll get to see more of her.

Could be, I was told that she was looking for TV opportunities so perhaps this is what she found. However, like you said, only time is going to tell whether or not she is working there for sure. A

Just a few moments ago I went onto the TWN site but her name and profile wasnt there. That could mean one of 2 things however. Either she was just filling in for someone perhaps or she is working there but their site hasnt been updated yet. Who really knows. A

Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner. I was cursed with that horrible Norwalk virus a few days ago, bleck! Anyway I asked my friend today if she knew anything and she wasnt totally sure but from what she said, Visnja is still floating around. I was flipping to the TWN every now and then to see if perhaps she was on but nada however that still doesnt mean anything. Its possible that she was just filling in for someone during the holidays, thats the feeling I get. Who really knows. Sorry I cant tell you more at this point but if I find out anything new, I'll definitely let you know. A
